By Chinese takeout standards in this area, the food is about average. Comparable to Evergreen, China Inn, and China East, but a bit below Asian House and Yi Palace. We tried Sang Hing's Moo Goo Gai Pan and General Tso's Chicken. What sets this Chinese takeout apart is they have more people working in the kitchen, so despite the volume of customers, the order didn't take terribly long to prepare. Also, they seemed nice, i.e. polite but efficient. Definitely would order from them again.

Sang hing is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in New Castle County. Delaware Chinese food can't compare to NY or Philly Chinese food but this place will do. Their kitchen is fairly clean and the guys who work there are always pleasant. They always smile and that's pretty rare at a Chinese restaurant. Whenever I order I get the fried Jumbo shrimp with shrimp fried rice. It always taste pretty good. If you're in New Castle or Bear Delaware go here.

This place is great. It's definitely at least a step above the cookie cutter Chinese takeout place, and their prices are low too. Lo mein is great, fried rice is great, and their General Tso's is exactly how I like it from a place like this. It has the peppers in the dish and everything. There's small details like that in everything I've ordered here, and that keeps me coming back. Is it a Michelin rated restaurant? Of course not. Are the chefs honing their skills for world class cuisine here? Hardly. Is it a great place for American Chinese takeout? Without a doubt.

Average takeout. Still trying to find a decent Chinese takeout place in Delaware. I am originally from Philly. Some of the worst spots in Philly is still better than some places here.

Unfortunately I have to knock a star off. After eating here several times over the past few months, the consistency has fallen off a bit, and several of my favorite dishes have been inedible at times. Still on the hunt for decent Chinese in Delaware!

Probably about a 3.5. Fast and friendly service plus pretty good Chinese food. I've eaten a lot of lo mein in my life, and Sang Hing's is definitely above average. Beef + broccoli is good too. But the true value here is the price...quite cheap.

I wanted Sang Hing to be excellent and wanted to be really surprised by the food for a simple reason, I pass it on the way from work to home. Unfortunately the food was fairly standard chinese take out here in Delaware. The fried rice was cooked well without burnt or mushy grains, the pork was average. There was no thick crust to the char siu in the fried rice to enrich the flavor. It did however, have some flavor and was not mushy. The bean sprouts were crisp and the onions had some bite to it. The crispy orange chicken was cooked well, thicker breading but not overly doughy. The orange sauce was a bit thick and sweet, no brisk and bright orange flavor here. The staff was quick and friendly. This is more of a take out place given that the seating is very limited and small. Unfortunately the dishes were standard chinese takeout in Delaware, but well made. I have been disappointed in the americanized chinese take out that is available in Delaware. I am more so disappointed because I know from seeing the dishes that are made by the different restaurants that different dishes could be made very well. But Delaware seems to be happy with substandard versions of Americanized chinese takeout. The restaurants have to cater to what the community wants I guess. I am fine with eating here again as the food is well made, just not the quality of Chinese take out I am used to; but fairly standard in Delaware.

Always fast service and fun to watch the preparation

This is your pretty typical cookie-cutter Chinese take-out place. The food's edible and the prices are low, but don't expect much else.

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
